CrowdShed
CrowdShed was a crowdfunding startup – an online platform and central London hub that helped individuals, charities and businesses raise funds using the power of the crowd.
Co-founder, head of brand and content
I was one of the three founding members of CrowdShed, a privately financed crowdfunding business we launched in 2014 after two years of behind-the-scenes development work.
Alongside my responsibilities as a board member helping grow and manage the business as a whole, I was head of brand and content.
With the design team, we created, validated and grew the CrowdShed brand and voice in a super competitive and quick moving environment. We launched unique concepts like ShedTalks, held in The Shed our central London hub, to build our customer base and improve brand awareness.
We also built our own platform from scratch, where I owned and wrote all copy and collaborated on UX development.
I left CrowdShed in 2015 after three years and sadly it ceased trading in late 2016 after failing to find second stage investment.
